baroque to neo baroque to just plain bad...

intricate, heavily carved, plasterwork

carved, gilded

large turned legs mixed with neoclassical straight lines, using modern materials
stylized and flattened, what would normally be carved in baroque furniture

flattened form, carving depicted in intricate line drawing

when a design trend reaches this point, maybe it's time to move on to something else. say goodbye to big scale damask, white lacquer, and chandelier graphics. it was great while it lasted. at first i couldn't get enough of you, now i can't stand to be with you. so long... on to the next trend

  1. Yes, I have to admit: I love neo-baroque design. It's so chic and contemporary. My favourite brand is Sige Gold. Do you know it? It's an italian company.

  2. I'm in love with the conceptual tables above. Any idea where to purchase?
